蛋白结构(Molecular Characterization)
This protein carries a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus.
The protein has a calculated MW of 29.0 kDa. The protein migrates as 38-55 kDa when calibrated against Star Ribbon Pre-stained Protein Marker under reducing (R) condition (SDS-PAGE) due to glycosylation.
内毒素(Endotoxin)
Less than 1.0 EU per μg by the LAL method.
纯度(Purity)
>90% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
制剂(Formulation)
Supplied as 0.2 μm filtered solution in 50 mM Tris,150 mM NaCl,pH8.0 with trehalose as protectant.

电泳(SDS-PAGE)
Human MMP-8 Protein, His Tag on SDS-PAGE under reducing (R) condition. The gel was stained with Coomassie Blue. The purity of the protein is greater than 90% (With Star Ribbon Pre-stained Protein Marker).
活性(Bioactivity)-ELISA
Immobilized Human MMP-8 Protein, His Tag (Cat. No. MM8-H52H7) at 1 μg/mL (100 μL/well) can bind various dilution ratio of Anti-MMP8 Polyclonal Antibody (Routinely tested).
Protocol
活性(Bioactivity)
Measured by its ability to cleave the fluorogenic peptide substrate, Mca-PLGL-Dpa-AR-NH2. The specific activity is >300 pmol/min/μg (QC tested).

背景(Background)
Matrix metalloproteinase-8(MMP-8)also known as neutrophil collagenase and CLG1,is a member of matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) family, which degrade components of the extracellular matrix (ECM) and play essential roles in various physiological processes as well as pathological processes. MMP-8 may affect the metastatic behavior of breast cancer cells through protection against lymph node metastasis, underlining the importance of anti-target identification in drug development. MMP-8 in the tumor may have a protective effect against lymph node metastasis.
